Belinda's Project 365, 2011

I read about project 365 a little while ago and thought it was such a great way to document a year, and to think a bit more creatively about how I photograph things. I am going to attempt to document 2011 in one picture per day. I am thinking about printing and binding my project at the end of the year, so that will be my incentive to keep it going! I may not post every day, but my aim will be to at least take a photo every day, so I will be carrying around my little cybershot everywhere :-)

Day 16 - Henry's First Visit to the Pool

I'm not sure about this, Dad!

After my shift at the shoe shop today we took Henry and Jenna to Tuggeranong Pool. When I got home he had only just woken from a nice long sleep (these are getting more regular!) and we left after he had had a feed.

Henry loves the bath, but the pool was quite a bit different for him! For a start there were heaps of people there and although the pools are heated, it must be much cooler than his bath ever is. The bottom lip dropped pretty much as soon as he got in and it took quite some time for him to get used to it. Eventually though he put his hand in for a bit of a splash and although I wouldn't say that he enjoyed it yet, it wasn't too stressful for him. I will definitely take him back on a weekday when the place isn't as crowded as it was today.

Very funny we are! Was Tuggeranong Pool good for littlies? We are thinking of trying that out next weekend!

Peta, Tuggeranong Pool is pretty good. All undercover, there's a toddler pool, kids' pool and the proper lap pool. There's also a grassed area (not covered). Maybe we will come again next weekend... was thinking I should take him on a weekday when it is quieter too :-) There were a few tears :P
